Flickr Photo Compass 0.9

The Geo Radar released by .CK reminded me of an idea I had had a while ago and provided me with the tools to implement it quickly.

This greasemonkey is a simpler version of the radar that displays the 8 closest photos to the actual one in the directions: N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW.

It’s a simple tool to browse photos of some place. By clicking on the direction icons, you can move around and find other photos.

Get Firefox
Install GreaseMonkey
restart Firefox

Donation don't have to be big to make a difference. I already received donations ranging from 0.50£ to 10£ and all of them made me happy. Think of it, if the thousand users of these tools made a small donation, it would not make a big difference to them, but it would to me.

All the software, scripts and other tools distributed on this web site are distributed under open source licenses and are available to download for free. Making the code free and available to all doesn't means it's of lower quality. The tools provided here are fully functional and their author invested some of his personal time to develop them and provide support to their users.

Thanks for one more great script to enhance flickr.com.

Just changed the value for margin-top in row 118 from 0 to 20. Now there’s a little bit more space to the textbox above. That could be interesting to change it by default in your script, couldn’t it? What do you think?

excelent script!

but.. in what cases does it work ? I’ve found it worked with several public pictures, but not with some of mine which are also geotagged

does it read directly from the exif data or what ??
