Flickr: Style your contacts 0.5

When you see comments in a group discussions or photos in its pool, it’s sometime interesting to see the one your contacts have posted.

This greasemonkey script adds a css style to the photos posted by your contacts and you. It also styles comments in group discussions, under photos and in the follow up pages [1].

Your contacts, your friends and your family will have a different style, the script will also give a unique style to your photos and comments and the current author [2] comments. This styling helps you to quickly identify which photos your contacts have posted or the messages they have left.

You can install the script from here:

  1. Get Firefox
  2. Install GreaseMonkey
  3. restart Firefox
  4. If you liked the script, think about helping me back and consider a small donation, click the paypal button on the right.
  5. Click on the following icon and select "Install"
    greasemonkey - 10.2 kb
    663 download(s) since 25 July 2007

You have to configure it so it knows who you are, this is done by setting the YOUR_NAME value in the script file: var YOUR_NAME = 'mortimer?';

You can also personalise the styling by editing the css style at the beginning of the script file.

Make a Donation

2 user(s) already donated a total of 9.9£ to this project.

Donation don't have to be big to make a difference. I already received donations ranging from 0.50£ to 10£ and all of them made me happy. Think of it, if the thousand users of these tools made a small donation, it would not make a big difference to them, but it would to me.

You will probably enjoy using what you download from this website and if so, you can decide to make a donation. Making a donation is optional but will help to develop new tools and support the existing code.

All the software, scripts and other tools distributed on this web site are distributed under open source licenses and are available to download for free. Making the code free and available to all doesn't means it's of lower quality. The tools provided here are fully functional and their author invested some of his personal time to develop them and provide support to their users.

Think about it.
