IEatBrainz development seems to be discontinued but it’s developer had the great idea to release the sources on SourceForge. The version available around for download has never worked properly on my Intel based macbook and no one seemed to be ready to distribute a universal build.
Update Jay Tuley just contacted me to explain why a universal build had never been released. Basically, the TRM fingerprinting system provided by MusicBrainz will be switched off in the upcoming weeks/days. After that, even if you can run IEatBrainz, it won’t find any result as the MusicBrainz servers won’t be answering the requests.
This had been announced last october and is not the fault of the developer of IEatBrainz. I will leave the package up for a while if you want to try your luck. Once the servers will be switched off, the package will be removed and we will have to wait on a willing developer to take on the change required to support the new MusicBrainz interfaces.

Having nicely clean tags is very nice when using Last.fm and to play with your iPod music quiz game while waiting for the late train, so I really wanted to get it working for me. After some tweaking with the available source code package [1], I have been able to make a new universal build release for everyone to enjoy on their Intel Mac.
The package is tested on OS X 10.4, and has been reported to work on Leopard too.
2Important Licence Notice
I am not the author of this software, am not taking the development over and will not be providing any support for it either. I am just distributing a universal compiled version according to the license set by Jay Tuley:
